Mozambique has sought investments from Indian companies in a host of areas, including agro-processing, information technology, pharmaceuticals, textiles and automobiles as part of promoting bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries. Making a presentation on ‘Business opportunities for India in Mozambique’ to the members of the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) here on Thursday, Vicente Paulo C. Chihale, commercial counsellor, High Commission of the Republic of Mozambique, listed plastic and paper products, machinery and instruments, construction, fisheries, energy and training programmes among the other areas of priority for cooperation.He sought India’s expertise in technology and know-how transfer. He said Mozambique wanted to draw upon India’s experience in the sector of small scale industries and agro-food processing in cashew nuts, coconut, cotton, tea and rice.
