Mozambique's exports fell in value by 36 per cent in the first quarter of this year, compared with the same period in 2008, according to the latest statistics from the Bank of Mozambique. Most of the country's agricultural exports showed a decline - cotton from 15 to 7.4 million dollars, cashew nuts from 12.1 to 5.4 million dollars, tobacco from 6.8 to four million, and timber from 6.8 to four million.
